Welcome to Dalhousie! Your Guide to Student Accessibility & Support (Able@Dal) (2026)

Bold opening: Support for Dalhousie families starts here—and there’s more to say than you might expect. These presentations are designed for the families and supporters of Dalhousie students who are registered with the Student Accessibility Centre (https://www.dal.ca/life-at-dal/student-support/accessibility-accommodations.html). Led by access advisors, faculty, and staff, this live session—and its recording—introduces common first-year transitions and practical campus resources. Attending gives you clear guidance on the best ways to assist and support your student during their first year at Dalhousie. The session will be recorded and made available after the event.

Virtual sessions are also part of the program. Ahead of the academic year, the Student Accessibility Centre will host online information sessions. Full details about Able@Dal, the family-and-friends sessions, and the virtual sessions will be updated here as soon as they’re available.
